Spiced Pear Mule

Ingredients (per glass):

  • 2 oz vodka (or gin for a botanical twist)

  • 1 oz pear juice (freshly pressed or high-quality bottled)

  • ½ oz lime juice (freshly squeezed)

  • Top with ginger beer (about 3–4 oz, chilled)

  • Optional: ¼ oz simple syrup or honey (for extra sweetness)

  • Garnish:

    • Thin pear slice

    • Fresh rosemary sprig or cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glass:
Use a copper mule mug or a tall glass. Fill with ice cubes.

  2. Mix the base:

    • In a cocktail shaker (or directly in the mug), add vodka, pear juice, and lime juice.

    • Shake or stir briefly to combine.

  3. Top it off:

    • Pour mixture over the ice.

    • Top with ginger beer, leaving room for garnish.

    • Stir gently with a bar spoon to blend.

  4. Garnish & serve:

    • Add a thin pear slice along the rim and a sprig of rosemary or cinnamon stick for aroma.

    • Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.

Spice it up: Add a pinch of ground cinnamon or a splash of spiced rum for extra warmth.

  1. Pear juice upgrade: Muddle a few slices of ripe pear with a dash of honey before adding vodka for a fresher, more rustic flavor.

  2. Batch for a party: Multiply ingredients by 6–8, mix in a pitcher (except ginger beer), and top with ginger beer right before serving.
